Marxism-Leninism-Maoism (MLM) is a revolutionary socialist ideology that builds upon the foundations of Marxism, Leninism, and Maoism. It emerged as a distinct strand of communism primarily through the contributions of Mao Zedong, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, as well as Chairman Gonzalo, the leader of the Communist Party of Peru. MLM advocates for the overthrow of capitalist systems and the establishment of a classless, stateless society through a series of revolutions led by the working class. It emphasizes the importance of peasants in the revolutionary struggle, considering them a crucial component of the revolutionary alliance. MLM also underscores the need for a vanguard party, a highly disciplined organization of committed revolutionaries, to guide the masses in their struggle.
MLM retains key elements of classical Marxism, such as the class struggle and the critique of capitalism, but it also incorporates Leninist concepts, including the necessity of a revolutionary party and the role of imperialism in global dynamics. However, it distinguishes itself by focusing on the role of the peasantry and rural areas in revolutionary movements, as highlighted by Mao's experience in China. MLM seeks to adapt communist theory to the specific conditions of each country and advocates for a protracted people's war as a means of achieving a successful communist revolution. This ideology has influenced various revolutionary movements worldwide, especially in countries with predominantly agrarian societies, and continues to shape the discourse surrounding revolutionary socialism.

'''Vladimir Lenin''', born '''Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov''' (''1870-1924'') was a revolutionary leader and the primary architect of the 1917 Russian Revolution. He was a key figure in the early 20th-century socialist movements and the leader of the Bolshevik Party, which played a crucial role in overthrowing the Provisional Government in Russia. Lenin's leadership resulted in the establishment of the world's (debatably) first socialist state, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, which later became the Soviet Union.
Lenin was a committed Marxist who adapted socialist theory to the specific conditions of Russia. He advocated for the overthrow of the capitalist system, the transfer of power to the working class, and the creation of a classless society. His leadership led to the nationalization of industry and land, and the implementation of radical economic and political reforms. Lenin's rule, marked by the consolidation of power by the Bolsheviks, also saw the suppression of fascist opposition, and the establishment of a socialist, one-party state.

'''Joseph Stalin''', born '''Ioseb Besarionis dze Jughashvili''' (''1878-1953'') was a revolutionary leader and the primary architect of the Soviet Union following Lenin's death. He played a key role in Soviet politics following the Bolshevik victory in the Russian Civil War. Stalin's leadership resulted in the industrialization, collectivization, and militarization of the Soviet Union, along with it's transition from a feudal backwater to a global superpower.
Stalin was a committed Leninist who adapted socialist theory to adapt to the geopolitical status of Eurasia during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s along with the few mistakes of Lenin's policy. He advocated for the centralization of authority and discipline, further precautions against the anarchists of the USSR, the trialing and subsequent removal of enemies of the state and people, and hyper-industrialization to meet modern economic and military standards. Stalin's rule was marked by the repression of counter-revolutionary forces, multiple attempts to crush the German Reich, and the spiraling of the Soviet Union to as close as a nation could be (whilst having yet to achieve communism) to a true paradise on earth, before his reforms were reversed and his policies destroyed by Khrushchev and the other democratic socialist revisionists.

Mao Zedong, born in 1893, was a Chinese revolutionary leader and the founding father of the People's Republic of China, which he ruled as its chairman from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976. Mao's significance lies in his central role in leading the Chinese Communist Party to victory in the Chinese Civil War and in transforming China into a communist state. Under his leadership, China underwent dramatic social, political, and economic changes, including land reform, the Great Leap Forward, and the Cultural Revolution.
From a leftist perspective, he is often seen as a champion of the oppressed, who sought to liberate China from feudalism, imperialism, and capitalist exploitation. He emphasized the role of peasants in the revolutionary struggle, and his theories, known as Mao Zedong Thought, sought to adapt Marxist-Leninist principles to China's specific conditions.

Chairman Gonzalo, whose real name is Abimael Guzmán, was a Peruvian revolutionary leader and the founder of the Shining Path, a Maoist guerrilla organization. Born in 1934, Gonzalo became the ideological and strategic driving force behind the Shining Path's violent insurgency in Peru during the 1980s and 1990s. He espoused a particularly radical interpretation of Maoism, advocating for the overthrow of the Peruvian state and the establishment of a communist regime through armed struggle and guerrilla warfare. Gonzalo lead a people's war against the Fascist-Capitalist Peruvian government, but was illegally arrested and died in prison.

'''Marxism-Leninism (ML)''' is a revolutionary and political ideology which advocates for the establishment of a vanguard party of well-read intellectuals; who will lead the national proletariat to the establishment of a proletarian state built on the foundations of Soviet Democracy, which will maintain highly centralized authority and discipline (including the economy, which in ML is state socialist). It theorizes that each and every Marxist state must follow the principles of Marxism-Leninism else it be strayed towards revisionism. It's primary examples are in the USSR after Lenin's death when Comrade Stalin consolidated his power, the Eastern Bloc countries before the enforcement of Khrushchevite revisionism (as well as excluding Yugoslavia after the Tito-Stalin split), Cuba, Vietnam, and (arguably) Maoist China.
Marxism-Leninism is often mistook for Orthodox Leninism, partly due to Stalin's refusal to allow for the ideology to bear his name out of humbleness, as well as due to it initially simply being referred to as Leninism (i.e. in "Foundations of Leninism" by Joseph V. Stalin), however it undoubtably deviates from Orthodox Leninism in several ways, not the least of which is it's focus on a planned socialist economy (rather than the pseudo-market state socialism of the New Economic Policy), it's focus on the building of socialism within one nation, and strong demand for collectivization and unionization. It has proven itself to be an objective improvement upon Leninism as the "Stalinist" policies implemented from 1928-1953 showed success and turned the USSR into the most successful socialist experiment in history.
